I would like to give my condolences to the family of Michael Dotson. I served with him in the NAVY at Kings Bay G.A. I’m sorry to hear the loss of such a young life. Mike and I spent many hours together on post talking random nonsense that made the long days and nights go by a little faster. He knew how to make an interesting conversation that was for sure. He not only inspired me to be qualified on all posts that we stood, but talked me into going to college, which I can honestly say I wouldn’t have done if it weren’t for him.
“While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil.”
We share in this time of grief but also share in the love and memories of Michael. May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten.
I will always cherish the love Michael had for me and the adventure we had. I know that he is in peace and will always be with me.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
With love and remembrance.
RIP brother, You will be truly missed. MCSFCO KingsBay 2nd Div Delta Squad
Know you since high school class of 2003. RIP…. We had some great times my friend. I will see you on the other side.
You will always be my favorite and only “devil squid”. I remember asking all the marines if they knew what a devil squid was, even the DISC! This was a new term to me, little did I realize you were messing with me at the time!!!
I will miss you more than I can put in words.
I truly enjoyed being part of your care team the past 2 years, I thought we had many more years working together.
Rest free and easy Devil Squid.
