
Michael Terrence Goldstone, 61, was called home on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 in Virginia
Beach. Michael was born on May 28th, 1956 in Durban, South Africa. He was the son of Joseph
Fernandez and Geraldine Davis. Michael arrived in the United States September 12th, 1969 and
totally embraced his new country. He was a member of Job Corp and a veteran of the United
States Army, he was stationed in Fort Bragg, NC. He worked in maintenance for the
Department of Defense and his expertise was plumbing. He was well known for helping others
maintain their homes, he was a jack of all trades, master of some as he’d like to say. As a child
he mimicked Fred Astaire, he loved music and dancing. He was nicknamed Casanova by his
Aunty Winnie because he was so charming with the ladies. He enjoyed playing with his great
nieces and nephew, who gave him joy. He loved his beautiful daughters tremendously.
Michael’s favorite pastime was joking with family and friends, karate movies and CNN. He loved politics, trash talking and sports. He had a knack for making everyone around him smile.
He is survived by Geraldine Davis, mother; Monica Ford, sister; Nicholas Ford, brother in law;
Angela Goldstone, sister; Jeanette Goldstone, sister; Kathy Gordon sister-in-law; sister; Zakia Goldstone, daughter; Zoie Goldstone, daughter; Ashley Hill, stepdaughter; Jacinda Sawyer, stepdaughter; Max Sawyer,Stepson; Chantel Ross, niece; Bernice French, niece; Geraldine Ford, Niece; Mark Jn. Baptiste,Nephew; Ethan Jn. Baptiste, Nephew; Caphire Price, Grandniece; Gewelle Ross, grand nephew; Christopher Hamilton, nephew. four great nieces and seven great nephews. As well as a plethora of family members in South Africa. He was preceded in death by Joseph Fernandez, Father and Winnie Gamble, Aunt.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Family Choice
