
Nadene Battah, 88, passed away on April 4, 2012 in Virginia Beach. Born June 8, 1923 in Baghdad, Iraq, she was the daughter of the late Yousif T. and Amina Ibrahim Massa, and the wife of the late Jamil Battah. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was brilliant, inventive and innovative. She was humble in many ways, yet very proud of her work.
Mrs. Battah is survived by daughter, Natalie Shamam and her husband, Najib of Michigan; son, Husam Battah and his wife, Jo of Australia; son Samuele Battah and his wife, Becky of Yorktown, VA; daughter, Nuha Koehler and her husband, Kurt of Australia; brother, Albert Toma and his wife, Marion of Germany; brother Ramsey Toma and his wife, Suham of Michigan; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Hammam Battah and Bassam Battah.
Services and interment will be private.
