Nora M. Hawkins passed away peacefully June 14, 2015.
Nora was born on July 23 to the late Arthur and Josephine Bourne in Virginia. She was a longtime member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church as well as Aragona Garden Club. Nora loved working in her garden, participating in various activities with her friends at the Bayside Recreational Center, and spending time with her beloved granddaughters. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Margie Hopper; two sons, Johnny Hawkins, and Arthur Hawkins and his wife Coral; three granddaughters, Ashley Kulas and husband Jason, Jennifer Hawkins, and Rachel Hawkins; sister, Margaret Melvin, and brother, Fred Bourne. Nora was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jean Hawkins, and sisters, Nancy Osbourne and Juanita Coon.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nora’s memory may be sent to the Benevolence Committee at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church.
