
Paul E. Darden, 59, passed away on August 27, 2012 in Virginia Beach. A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of Evelyn Domme Darden and the late Lester J. Darden, Sr. Affectionately known as “Muffy,” Paul was an originating founder of the Low Rent Regatta at Chick’s Beach, and continued to enjoy the beach throughout his life. He was an avid follower of sports, especially NASCAR. Paul was a devoted family-man and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy; his daughter, Morgan; siblings, Jimmy Darden and Virginia McClenney of Portsmouth, and Jack Darden of Virginia Beach; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 30th at 2:30 p.m. at Lynnhaven Colony Congregational Church, 2217 W. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at Bayside Bar and Grill 2973 Shore Drive, Virginia Beach.
Family and friends are encouraged to dress “beach casual” for the service in memory of Paul.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Morgan’s college fund by sending donations to the home or to the funeral home.
