  1. RIP to my great friend, mentor and brother in Christ as he was saved and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior so I know he is in Gods arms in Heaven and knowing Paul aka Red Rooster all of my life he is helping God paint our Sunrises and Sunsets! I want to thank you Paul Trice Jr. for all the life stories you shared with me and I thank God for the time we had as friends. Your gifts of wisdom, humor, love, and the paintings you gave me as gifts will forever be treasured and passed down to my daughter when my time here is done and she will pass them down to her children. Me and my wife and daughter thought highly of you and I know you expressed the same love and friendship to me and my family in return. We really got very personally close from 11-5-09 through 4-19-12 when God took you home! I will never forget your unconditional love and caring about my back problems even though you were battling your own serious health problems. I learned more from you than any man in my life and you were so kind and easy to talk to and I will always remember your smiling face and your stories of the old OV! Thank you for your love, kindness, wisdom and stories that I could sit and listen to all day! I will always miss you and carry you in my heart forever and when my work here is done and I get to Heaven you can show me how to paint like you were going to while you were here but you and me and God know why we did’nt get that chance, but in Heaven we will! My sincere condolences to Claude and Sonja for all you did to help me with him and you will be blessed for that and I to love both of you and I ask that our God bless you both for your big hearts, I hope to come down and be a part of your thursday care packages for the military services as it would be my Honor to help you both in your wonderful cause and in anything you may need of me from here to the end of time! Sometimes a simple, humble, caring and loving man comes into your life and Paul De’Vaughan Trice Jr. aka Red Rooster of OV was the one for me that God had our lives cross for a purpose and I am forever blessed he was my great friend! If I could send something to you from me to you in Heaven I know you would want 4 mini cheeseburgers, a small fry and a medium coke from McDonalds and would wish for desert chocolate covered cherrys! I could go on and on about you paul and in life I will! Thank you for staying strong with mine and Gods help by your side! If God allows you as an angel to visit me please do anytime I welcome it! May God rest you in His loving arms and I know you are pain free, whole in body like an 18yr old and happy and that is what I always wanted for you, so say Hi to my mother Rita J. Cheruka, My best friend Rick gaston Jr. His father and my step father Rick Gaston Sr. and Grant T. Sligh give them a hug and kiss and tell them I love and miss them like I love and miss you! Until God reunites us all, know you had a major impact on me in so many positive ways and I thank God for you! Love always your friend in life and brother in Christ! Nick Cheruka

  2. Red often called on me whenever he had a problem with his TV or other electrical device and would pester me to death until I arrived, and when I did, he’d give me more grief for taking so long. Here I was doing him a favor and getting flack for not being fast enough. So many times I left his house vowing never to return, but I always did. That was just Red. See you on the other side my OV friend.
