
Pedro Miguel Carattini, 70 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Friday November 25, 2022 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with his wife and three children at his side. Best know to his wife, family, friends , coworkers/ military family as “ Mike” or “ Pete” Pedro was born on April 9, 1952 to Pedro Miguel Carattini SR. and Norma Casanova in New York N.Y. In Spanish Harlem.
Pedro was an outstanding and dedicated Husband to his Junior High School sweetheart and love of his Life, best friend Irma and had one son Miguel Carattini and Twin Daughters Marleen and Eileen Carattini, a loving and wonderful Father beyond measure.
Pedro was Grandfather to 15 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren who he loved equally, and who all loved him very much as well lovingly referred to as Papa and to many of them considered their “ dad” because of how involved he was with their lives and upbringing.
Pedro was employed with the New York City Transit Authority for 25 years as a motorman and was an extremely dedicated employee until his retirement.
Pedro service to the military spanned 35 years beginning with his service as a Marine for 6 years, moving on to joining the Army National Guard with the 369th Harlem Hellfighters Transport Battalion then moving onto the Army Railroad Reserve 1205th 226th Railway unit until he retired.
Pedro loved his Family, enjoyed spending time with His wife and best friend Irma traveling, spending long days at the Beach in Puerto Rico where they lived upon retirement being it was their lifelong dream to have a home there.
Pedro loved to listen to and Dance to his Salsa music, playing his instruments along he was and avid movie Buff and loved his Sci- fi shows and movies.
Pedro leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
