Elwell, Phyllis, 59-year resident of Cresskill, passed away on September 17 at her daughter’s home in Virginia. She was 93. She is survived by her son, James D. Elwell; daughter Lynn Sparrow Christy and husband Larry Christy; grandchildren Jennifer Elwell Garrett, Jesse Elwell and Gregory Ryan Sparrow; and great-grandson, Jack Ryan Garrett. She was predeceased in 1993 by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ernest Elwell, with whom she is now reunited. The family invites Phyllis’ friends and neighbors to join them for a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 15th at the Cresskill Congregational Church, followed by an interment of her ashes at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
