Priscilla M. Tomlinson, 88 years old, formerly of North Eastham, Massachusetts, passed away on January 11th, a year after the passing of her dear husband, William R. Tomlinson. After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Priscilla now rests peacefully with the Lord. She was a great woman who made countess sacrifices for her children to ensure that they each had a solid foundation and a better life than she. Priscilla served as a wonderful role model for what a mother should be and was an excellent partner with her husband Bill, as they completed their journey through life. She also excelled as a grandmother, who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. As an excellent cook, she expressed her love for her family and friends by providing magical environments and experiences for all to enjoy when seated at her table. She adored her Golden Retrievers, and spent countless hours reading a good book with a dog at her side. Priscilla was also an avid gardener whose flowers were admired by all who passed by her Cape Cod home. She created and sold beautiful pressed floral artwork in her business, “Pressing Matters”. Priscilla was an excellent seamstress sewing quilts and clothing for her family. She was gifted at caring for others, not only in her family, but for those who were blessed to have her as a Visiting Nurse’s Aid. Priscilla was active in the Federated Church of Orleans. In her final years she was blessed by the excellent care and love that she received at The Memory Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister Judith LeVan of St. Petersburg, Florida; her daughter Cynthia and husband John Griffin of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her son William Tomlinson Jr. and Cindy Schartman of Newburyport, Massachusetts; her son Douglas and his wife Patricia Tomlinson of Farmington, Connecticut; her grandchildren Ben and wife Momo Griffin, Justin and wife Carter Griffin, Caroline and husband Nate Brown, Will and Lindsay Tomlinson, Taylor and Brooke Tomlinson, Zachary and Claudia Runk; and her great-grandchildren Aubrey and Addisyn Brown, and Wesley, Harper, and Juliet Jane Griffin. A memorial will be held in June at her beloved Cape Cod. Donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at http://act.alz.org/goto/Priscilla_Tomlinson
