Richard Fabian Weiss passed away on January 15, 2015. Born August 29, 1959 in Neptune, NJ, he was the son of the late Ernest Weiss and June and Thomas (stepfather) Price. He graduated from Ocean Township High School, New Jersey in 1977. He served in the Air Force in the late 1970’s as medical technician. He then had careers as a sporting goods sales rep in California, personal chef and medical assistant with Sentara in Virginia Beach. His lifelong passion was cooking. He was loyal to a fault and generous friend. He was also a Springsteen fan and enjoyed karaoke.

He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Jan Lucas. Survivors also include his brother Michael, brother Nicholas Weiss (Trish), nieces Lauren and Madelyn Weiss; sister Victoria Weiss (Scott) and niece Ellie Edwards; three step-brothers and sisters; step-sons Derek, Alex and Aaron Lucas; grandchildren Noah, Zachary, Aria, Cole and Jacob. Richard was predeceased by his niece, Hannah Weiss. He also leaves behind countless friends across the country. We will miss his endless humor and creative flair in the kitchen.

A memorial service will be held January 18th at 6:00 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, 23464.
