
Rita Claire Walker, 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 in Norfolk, VA. Born on September 18, 1934 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Fritsch and Henrietta Wirth Fritsch. Rita was a homemaker in her home for many years, but later worked as a Customer Service Associate for Leggets & Dillards at both the Military Circle and Greenbriar locations. When not hard at work, Rita enjoyed watching political shows on the television and visiting with her family. She will be remembered for her love for her family and for her indomitable spirit – overcoming challenges and making a new life for herself and her family. She will be missed by all who knew her
Left to cherish her loving memory are her two sons, Eric P. Walker of Virginia Beach, VA and Curt Walker and his wife, Debbie of Windsor Mill, MD; a daughter, Andrea Keesee and her husband, Chris of Greensboro, NC; a granddaughter, Natalie House and her husband, Erik of Stevensville, MI; and two great-grandbeauties, Catherine and Chloe House.
A private celebration of life will be held at the family residence at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rita’s name to the American Cancer Society.
