
Robert H. Cochran passed on to his heavenly home on February 1, 2018 at Chesapeake General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 22, 1939 to the late Robert H. Cochran, Sr. and Bernice D. Cochran. He married the late Rosalie Alice Branch on June 5, 1971. From their union came their sons Michael H. Cochran and Stephen E. Cochran. Robert was a hardworking and devoted family man. He served in the United States Navy and retired as an Amtrak Train conductor after many years.
In his retirement, Robert enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, restaurant dining, and attending church and family functions. He was a peaceful man who enjoyed sitting by the window while drinking his coffee and reading his Bible and devotions. He was known for his generosity as he gave joyfully to anyone who had need or asked.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Michael H. Cochran and Stephen E. Cochran; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Cochran; granddaughters, Sierra M. Cochran, Alicia R. Cochran and Cristina L. Cochran; brother, William Cochran; and a nephew, niece, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2:00PM, at Christian Embassy International, 1208 Centerville Turnpike N., Chesapeake, Virginia 23320.
