Robert “Bob” Ricks
Loving Son and Father
August 3, 1989 – September 25, 2015

Bob lived his life without judgment of others, with love in his heart, and a fire in his belly. He grew up in a poor home, always appreciating the little things, never taking them for granted. He was never afraid to speak his mind or try anything at least once. Things at home may have been rough, but he kept his head up and never “wore his feelings on his shirt-sleeve.” He had strength that was to be admired as he overcame the obstacles of his life. He was a loving father to his daughters and who lit up his life. Bob had an incurable love for music whether it was listening or playing an instrument. You could always find him singing a tune. He felt most at home when he was cooking for others. He enjoyed seeing others pleased with his culinary creations and took great pride in it. He had the ability to make everyone around him laugh, always quick with a fitting movie quote to add just the right touch. He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Ricks, father Phillip Ricks, daughters Sheana, Hailee, Emma and Alesia, sister Kelly Marcotte-Davis, and brothers Otis and Matthew. At 26 years of age he will be missed by so many that loved him and those he loved in return.

John 14:1-4 (KJV)
1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm with a celebration of life service at 7:00 pm Friday, October 2, 2015 at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations.
