
Roger McLean Foster, 80, passed away on Monday, November 9th, 2015 in Norfolk. Born on June 25th, 1935 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of William M. and Dorothy E. Foster and husband of the late Judith C. Foster. Mr. Foster retired from the U.S. Navy as an ENC, serving two tours in Viet Nam. A master of gadgets, he enjoyed playing video games, but more than any other pastime, loved playing his organ.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen M. Foster and his wife, Pamela of Norfolk and Robert F. McDonald of CA; two daughters, Valerie L. Garcia of Sabine, NM, Tracy D. Kuchler and her husband, Bill of Orange Park, FL; eleven grandchildren, Joshua S. Foster, Jacob W. Foster, Stephanie O. Andrews, Valerie E. Foster, David H. Foster, Katie P. Foster, Brittney R. Morales, Alexis E. Urban, Lauren N. Kuchler, Kirstin E. Kuchler, and Andrew J. Kuchler; six great-grandchildren; and his beloved poodle, Libby. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori A. McDonald.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3301 Thomas Street, Norfolk, with Pastor Richard Smith officiating. Interment will take place in Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL.
