
Roger J. Schroeder, 63, of Virginia Beach, passed away Wednesday, May 18, in Hampton. Born on September 11, 1947 in Perham, MN, he was the son of the late Herman and Elvena Schroeder. Roger was proud to be a veteran and was dedicated to the POWs. He enjoyed sports, playing bingo, shopping, and taking rides in the car.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Krystal Schroeder; three sons, Brian of MN, Jay and his wife, April, of VA, and Zachary L. Schroeder of MN; eight grandchildren, Logan, and Mariah Schroeder of VA, Steven Benoit of MA, William L. Graham of VA, and Gillian, Mitchell, Justin, and Skyler Schroeder, all of MN; three sisters, Carol Fisher, Linda Patterson, and Ramona Rattler, all of MN; two brothers, Lee of FL, and Harold of MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private.

My Father was a man of few words. He was not a proud man and would do anything as long as it benefitted his family. He was a strong man and would give his shirt if he saw you needed it. He will be missed and never forgotten.
