
Ronald Dominic Cirilli, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 in Virginia Beach. Born on September 11th, 1934 in Conncticut, he was the son of Dominic and Mary Cirilli. Ron was a veteran of the U.S.Navy in which he proudly served for 20 years. After retiring from the Navy, Ron worked as a technical engineer for the Department of Defense where he wrote tech manuals for the Navy.
Ron was a volunteer at the YMCA in Virginia Beach, which was also where he met his partner of 20 years, Jacqueline Southall. He enjoyed cycling and fell in love with working out. Throughout his life, Ron competed in numerous triathlons and biathlons. He was immensely proud of the numerous medals and awards he earned from these events. Ron also liked listening to jazz music, especially Johnny Smith. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter Jill Cirilli, his sons: Thomas Cirilli and Kenneth Cirilli, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his long-time partner Jacqueline Southall.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16th, 2017 at West Neck Village Hall located at 2580 Signature Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

My husband, Howard Baker and I worked with Ron for many years at NAVSEACENLANT and FTSCLANT. A very nice man who was often outspoken but well respected.
