Marie was truly one of a kind, and I feel honored to have been her nurse. She was very special to me and I will never forget her. She was kind, generous, and so very compassionate. Her passing has hit me hard but I know that this was God’s will. She has touched so many lives, I will be out of town during the time of her funeral, but I will be there in spirit.
My deepest condolences and sympathy to the whole family. May her soul in peace in heaven.🙏❤️🙏
Our deepest condolences sending out to you all that she loves. She is very special person to all of us, and beautiful inside and out. She will be surely missed.
Marie was a nurse I worked and teamed with in the community of Sasebo, she was the New Parent Support Nurse with the FFSC, I was the clinic nurse. We had a wonderful relationship teaming up taking care of new moms and children. Marie was a beautiful person , always helpful and willing to assist with her community services.
I will miss you. May you rest in peace
For your family, as long as there is love and memory there is no true loss.
Our family are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We are missing Riri along with you. Our heartfelt condolences!
Our deepest condolences and sympathy to you my friend and to the entire family.
Wishing you courage, comfort, peace, and lots of love at this time of sorrow.
May God be with Marie and May she rest easy and in peace in Heaven .
I met Marie and family when i was stationed in Naval Health Branch Clinic Everett, WA. We clicked right away because of our personalities. We were both silly and loves to gossip. When it comes to work, Marie was very professional, helpful, and she wont show any signs of stress because she loves helping people. Our communications were on and off ever since i transferred out of Everett and even when they moved to Virginia. Her passing crushed me to the core because i lost contact with her and didn’t know that she’s been battling a disease. I am so sorry Marie for not reaching out but i assure you that i will always remember the memories and always cherished our friendship. To the Malpaya and Nocon families, my deepest heartfelt condolences to you all. Rest in peace my dear friend Marie. Please give God a big hug for me.
Marie was a light in this world! She loved her family, her patients and her SNGH family. I remember when Marie told me she had cancer and then said, “ but I’m not afraid.” She knew fear does not come from the Lord, and she battled cancer like a true warrior. She had a strong faith and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. I will miss her smile and positive spirit, but I know she is finally home with our Lord and I will see her again. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. ❤️🙏🏻❤️
It is a great loss not only to the family but also to the nursing profession as well and the SJDEFI family where she belonged. Being her former Clinical Instructor and Chairperson, I am so proud of all her accomplishments…we still need you here on Earth but Heaven can’t wait…we will miss you Marie..till we meet again.. Hugs and prayers to the family.
My heartfelt condolences to the whole family. May you all get through this difficult time through the love, comfort and prayers of your family and friends. She will be missed and will be in my prayers.🙏🏻🙏🏻
Our sincerest Condolences to the whole Nocon- Malpaya Family.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
Ate Marie/ Ate Rose, will always be in my heart. I’ve known her since highschool days at St. Francis, and we are also relative by Nocon Clan, however we didn’t get to know each other deeper until college days/ dormitory days in Manila. She always spoils me with not only material things but most of all love and protection. She treated me like her own little sister. She called me her little Pokwang!
Ate, thank you for your constant love and care, even up to the time you were fighting a good battle with Cancer, you made sure that I am always okey, to not worry about you but about myself. You’re one of the best! I will never forget you, You’re amazing! Goodbye for now, We’ll see each other again! Until then… Rest well, No more pain. I will surely miss you 😘
Our sincere and deepest condolences to the whole family. We hope you feel surrounded by much love during this difficult time.
Ninang Rose was one of the best ninangs I was blessed to have. She loved me like her own and she made the effort to check on me regardless of busy she is. She was one of the people I would call and rely on when I needed someone. She always reminded me how amazing I was, especially on the days that I didn’t believe in myself. I will miss her so much and I will honor her the best way that I can. She has taught me to cherish every moment, she has inspired me to chase my dreams and never give up, and most importantly to love unconditionally. I love you Ninang! Thank you for everything, I miss you so much.
Ninong, Chrissy, and Matt -I love you and I miss you all! I hope to see you all soon!

When I think of a human combination of kindness, strength, love, and concern, I think of Marie. She is more than a great band parent, more than a great mom to my students Chrissy and Matt, she was a friend to all on this side of heaven. I will miss her consistent presence at all our band events for the better part of the last decade, and in my memories, I’ll continue to look up to her example of excellence. May your memories of Marie remain vivid so that you feel her near when you rest your eyes.
Marie was such a positive person that always greeted everyone with a smile. She was an amazing nurse practitioner that helped patients and families at the end of life with such compassion and understanding. The profession was truly better with her years of service. Her passion not only for nursing but for her family and God were always evident. Her smile will be truly missed at SNGH. Rest in peace and prayers for her family ❤️🙏

I am just hearing of the passing of RiRi. She worked with me at the Hampton VAMC, in fact we nicknamed her “RiRi”. I am saddened by her passing but know she will have eternal life. Her faith in God and love for family is what I will remember most about RiRi. Praying for the family. May God continue to bless and keep you.
Wishing the Malpaya family comfort, love and peace during this very difficult time.
Rest in peace Marie❤️🙏
