Rudolph F. Cashwell, Sr., 84, passed away on August 6, 2013. Born on July 27, 1929 in Columbus Co., NC, he was the son of the late M.L. Cashwell, Sr. and Goldie Mae Cashwell, and husband of the late Sallie H. Cashwell.

He is survived by his sons, R.F. Cashwell, Jr. and his wife, Judy and K.W. Cashwell and his wife, Amy; sisters, Susan Atkinson, Doris Simons and Linda Mae Murphy; brother, C.J. Cashwell; and five grandchildren, Jackie, Ryan, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Catherine. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, M.L Cashwell, Jr. and J.E. Cashwell; and sister, Annie Ruth Bedsole.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Lora Ware for the outstanding care and support given to Mom and Dad over the years.

    Melinda and I are saddened to learn that both of Rudy’s parents have passed away. We have not been in contact with you for a long time but we do often wonder how you are doing. I have let Mitchell Byrd and Bryan Watts know about your parents deaths.a
