On Saturday, March 27, 2021, Ruth Kendzulak passed away at the age of 91 in the comfort of her home. Ruth was born on January 26, 1930, to Carl and Sarah (Cooper) Luthman in Plainfield, New Jersey. She went on to marry Douglas Gray and have four beautiful children.
Ruth had a heart of gold and loved everyone she met. She saw the best in everyone. She loved to laugh, dress up, tell jokes, cook, bake, puzzles, but most of all, she loved her family. Ruth would go out of her way to help others who needed it, she was forgiving, and gave the warmest hugs. She was kind, caring, thoughtful, and was known by all as “Grandma”. Her goofy, spunky, and fun nature could light up a room. Ruth was truly one of a kind and will be gravely missed by all who knew her.
Ruth was reunited with her husbands, Douglas Gray and Joseph Kendzulak; son, Norman Gray; daughter, Susan Rehl; brothers, Norman “Mike” Luthman, Carl Luthman, Richard “Dick” Luthman and Nels Luthman; and two grandchildren, Richard Gray Jr. and Dana Wishart.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Richard Gray, Judy Wishart, Denise Gray and William Rehl, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and
numerous family members and friends.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Family Choice at 6 o’clock p.m. Flowers may be sent to 5401 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
Please share a memory with the family via the “Condolences and Tributes” tab.
