  1. Scott was an amazing co-worker and friend. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. I remember many days that I would come into work, wishing I wasn’t there, that Scott would come over to my desk and make me laugh and try to get me to sign up for one of his basketball/football pools.

Even though I have not seen Scott in years, I have kept up with his stories and kept him and his family in my prayers.

Scott will be truly missed but knowing that he is no longer in pain and is with the Lord, hopefully will bring some comfort to the family.

  2. Ellen,

I worked with Scott at NAVFAC and while our paths did not cross often, when they did I was always impressed with his knowledge and dedication. He was good person who was easy to talk to, especially during football and basketball seasons. My condolences to you and your family.

  4. Dear Ellen,
Scott inspired others by his motto, ‘Never Give Up’ and provided an inspiration to our Church Family and Friends over many years. He certainly fought a great fight and finished the race while serving the Lord and helping our younger generations have direction and love for each other and the Lord.
I’m sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jeff

  7. Ellen, your love for Scott was definitely shown throughout the years you suffered with him. Every step you took in the years he needed you you were there. God is good that he took him home at this time, no more suffering, Scotts in Heaven, not suffering anymore.

  8. Every year, I show my high school students the story of the half court shot. I look to implore them about “thinking before they post.” Scott remains an inspiration to me and my students, now and in the future.
