Shirley Elaine Miller , 71, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Born Friday, April 24, 1942, in Finlay, OH, She was the daughter of the late Kenneth & Donna Beagle. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sister; Sharon Ness.

Shirley is survived by her loving Husband of 51 years, Michael Edward Miller; Children, Robert Miller, Kathleen Suyemoto and her husband Kelly and Julie Miller; Grandchildren, Joshua, Samantha, Shannon and Jamie Suyemoto; Sisters, Jean Lee and Kay Franklin; Brothers-in-law, Mark Miller and his wife Linda and Jerry Borges; Sister-in-law, Sr.Jeanne Miller, BVM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their care of Shirley during her illness.

    Dear Uncle Mike, Bob, Kathy, Julie & family, I love you! Thank you so much for exhibiting such wonderful love in your care for my beloved A-Shirl. She loved with such greatness!!! that legacy continues on with you! Thank you for all that you are. I am blessed to know and love you all.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I know this is a very difficult time for the family. Something that has always given me comfort is a scripture at Revelation 21:4, it says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I sincerely hope this brings you some comfort.
