On October 18, 2021, our Heavenly Father called the name of Sondra Delores Sutphin.
Sondra was born in Trenton, New Jersey on April 16, 1961 to Charles Sutphin and Delores Harris (deceased). Our Lord gifted the 5-year-old Sondra Delores Sutphin to Jerline Clark who raised her. Jerline Clark is the only mother Sondra has known and affectionately called ‘MOM.’ She was educated in the public school system and graduated from Trenton Central High school in 1979. Upon completion of high school Sondra joined the United States Navy in 1980 and retired after 20 years of service to our country as a Petty Officer PO1. She was also a 20-year retiree as a Navy Payroll Transportation Manager Specialist, Civil Service Division.
Sondra submitted and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in April 1981. Her loving heart, contagious smile and general love for people was revealed through her service to our country, community, family and friends. Sondra also volunteered at her local house of worship The Great Awakening United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school and directed the children’s choir. Sondra really enjoyed basketball, fishing, music and especially playing cards. In 2009 Sondra met her game partner turned life partner and fiancé Nikki Ash. They talked of marriage at the time of her demise.
Sondra will be remembered by her mother Jerline Clark, brother Eric Clark, sister Denise Reed, fiancé Nikki Ash, daughter Aaliyah Ash, grand-daughter A’Kiyah Ash, and a host of family and friends.
A Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at The Great Awakening, United Church of Christ at 12 noon. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

My lovely GODMOTHER of 16 years the one who rushed to New Jersey just in time to cut my umbilical cord. Who played her role beyond the title. I was technically her child. The only pchild-like figure in her life I kept her young and happy. Our love for each other was beyond words. You’ll always be in my heart. My whole heart, until we meet again❤️
