Stanley Dale Cook, Sr., 76, passed away on Monday, September 21st, 2015 in Virginia Beach. Born on October 17, 1938 in Filmore, MN, he was the son of the late Dale and Elsie Cook. Mr. Cook was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a retired builder.

He is survived by two sons, Stanley Cook, Jr. of Virginia Beach and David Cook and his wife, Lisa of Norfolk; two daughters, Sherre Cook and Debi Holland and her husband, Chris, all of Virginia Beach; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th, 2015 at 11 a.m., at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk with military honors.

    He is celebrating and all those waiting for him on the other side are celebrating his human birth and work here — the greatest gift is to celebrate his freedom — in the form of celebratory joyous emotion… A master soul upon completion of a great task… Being human! I Send love.

    Stanley was a special kind of friend that comes along only once in your life. Although we were hundreds of miles apart we stayed connected. His love for his family & friends will keep on forever. Rest in your new home Stanley my friend. God bless
