Stephen Warren Davis, Sr., born September 20, 1963, passed early Friday morning, July 8, 2022 at home. The youngest son of Robert J. Davis, Sr. and Sandra Warren Davis, he was out working on a construction jobsite with his dad and brothers at a very young age. Steve loved “Runnin’ & Gunnin’” getting things done. He was blessed to have worked a lifetime with family – first with dad and sister and brothers and son and nephews at Davis Masonry, then with nephews at Atlantic Hardscapes, and brothers again at Lighthouse Masonry.
Steve was a bigger than life guy – he enjoyed his family and friends laughing and carrying on – he made things fun. Steve loved to fish, but his best catch was Linda, his “Sugar Mama”. She was his best friend and love of his life. When little Stephen and Patty were old enough, Aragona-Pembroke Little League became a big part of family life. Big Steve coached and Linda was right there. Coach Steve and Miss Linda were a dynamic duo – they loved the kids and the game. All-Star team traveling every summer became an exciting way of life for several years. One year he even took the boys team all the way to the Big-League World Series in Easley, South Carolina.
Steve was a doting Pop Pop to his grandchildren always there with a steady hand and guiding word. He is irreplaceable to all his family and friends who loved to laugh and enjoy life with him. We will all miss him so much.
He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Warren Davis, Jr. and his parents, Robert Joseph Davis, Sr. and Sandra Warren Davis.
Steve leaves behind his wife, Linda Davis; daughter Patty Upshur (Travis, “gorgeous”); sister, Margie Carol Dickson; brothers, Robert J. Davis, Jr. “Robb” (Dana) and Gregory Scott Davis, Sr. (Trish); grandchildren Amanda, Stephen III, Bianca, Loyalty, Warren “Bubba” and Jax.

Linda and Family,
Sis I am so sorry hearing about Steve. You and Steve were sole mates glued at the hips. We all could see how much love there was between you both. Keep that always in your heart and remember the love he shared with you and so many people. Steve gave so much to people and never expected anything in return. That’s what made him a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. To his children and grandchildren. God could have not given you a better role model with such love. You all were all so blessed to have him in your lives. I know I was.
God bless you all.
Your Angle is watching over you from heaven.
