
Steven Wayne Vaughan, 45, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Chesapeake. Born February 15, 1968 in Norfolk, he was the son of Reginald Shaw and Janice Vaughan Burton. He ran a mobile car-detailing business and was a big fan of the Washington Redskins. Steven accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church where he was active in the Men’s Ministry and Parking Lot Ministry.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of five years, Tyra Martin; three daughters, Lakeisha Boykins, Denstiny Wolfry, and Keshona Sykes; a son, Brandon Bobbit; a step-daughter, Kennedy Martin; and a sister, Christiba Williams.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Kempsville Baptist Church, 5204 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach.

Oh Tyra! I just got on FB for the first time in quite awhile and was shocked to see this sad news. I am so very sorry for you all. I never got a chance to know Steven, but will always seem strange not to see him with you there on the second row at church. Praise to Jesus that you will be together again in heaven, where there will be no separation or sadness for all of eternity. God will give you grace and comfort for this hard time, and you know your friends are here for you. God bless you and all who loved him.
