Suellen Seabrook passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2022.
She was born to John and Rita Seabrook, and was raised in Dallas, TX. She moved to New York City in her 20s to work at the World’s Fair. After many adventures, she settled in Newport News, VA and began raising a family. She developed an exercise program which she taught for over 15 years. She went on to co-author a book on Behavior Modification and taught classes on the subject.
On November 4th 1985, Suellen met the love of her life, Bob Cislo. They built a wonderful life together with their families. Suellen and Bob published a local sports newspaper “Sports Spots” which Suellen was deemed “Editor-in-Chief” giving the newspaper its amazing look for years. After Suellen and Bob moved to their “Forever Home” on the beach, Suellen’s final passion and profession was overseeing the Condo Association where they lived. She made extensive improvements to the building and landscaping.
Suellen was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. She was extremely creative and artistic, and found beauty in all her surroundings. She was always ahead of her time in everything from fashion, to interiors, to food. Her fun and upbeat personality was contagious to everyone she met. Suellen was adventurous, loved nature and had a true free spirit. Even in her 70’s she stayed very active. A beautiful woman inside and out, she always saw the positive in every situation. Suellen will be dearly missed.
Suellen is survived by her loving husband, Bob Cislo, her four children including Twin Daughters Amy Lemaistre (Yves) and Evvia Mauro, Beau Cislo and Katie Moore (Kevin). She also leaves to cherish her memory her three grandchildren who she was incredibly proud of; Meadowe Cislo, Colin Lemaistre and Vincent Cecilia. She leaves to cherish her memory a long list of life long friends including her best friend, Kay.
Thank you to all who have shown their love and support to the family during this time. We will celebrate Suellen’s Life and Legacy on her upcoming birthday of July 28th.
