Tammy Bagley Peco, 43, of Virginia Beach, passed away April 29, 2019. Born September 12, 1975 in Portsmouth, VA; she was the daughter of Doris and the late Roland Bagley Jr.
This wife and mother of three handsome boys loved reading, word games, the beach, and watching sports. Go Patriots! She ran a small and nurturing daycare out of her home for 17 years, blessing the lives of many kids and parents along the way. One of the activities that brought her the most joy was watching her children play sports, especially volleyball. Tammy was very involved at Acts 2 Church where she served as a board member, Sunday school teacher, and often spear-headed the hospitality ministry.
Her husband Emil, had this to say in her memory. “Today I’ve lost: a partner, my heart, my best friend, but heaven has gained more love, more brightness and a twinkle. I know you have found peace and comfort in GOD’s embrace. I will always love you. Save me a place beside you up there, beautiful.”
Tammy’s friends, community, and family are heartbroken, but choose to focus on the fact that Tammy is now pain free and in perfect peace and joy in the arms of Jesus. We would like to think that Tammy—who suffered from Celiac Disease for the last 6 years of her life on earth—is in heaven enjoying a banquet table spread with bread, pizza, pasta, pastries, has perfect vision without contact or glasses and is enjoying her new beachfront home.
Tammy is survived by Emilio Peco, her husband of 22 years, her sons Alex (22), Aaron (18), and Cody (11), her mother Doris Bagley, her siblings Kevin Fyfe, Pamela Abernathie, and Corey Bagley. She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3 at 6:30pm at Grace River Church for a Celebration of Life and a reception to follow.

Tammy Bagley Peco is my beloved sister. I will miss her presence in my life. My heart is broken and I so sad. I am most heartbroken for Emil, Alex, Aaron and Cody Peco. Emil lost if wife and the boys lost their mother. I know that Tammy is in a better place but it still hurts. Love, Pamela B. Abernathie
