
Thomas M. Bone, 74, of Chesapeake, passed away on October 8, 2010. A native of Illinois, he was the son of the late Muril J. and Dorothy M. Bone.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, K. Irene Bone; two sons, Kenneth and Keith Bone; two daughters, Kenneta Fabing and Kristen Lancaster; five grandchildren, Austin Stewart, Blake Stewart, Abigail Niesen, Destiny Mercer, and Emma Lancaster; three sisters, Lucille Richardson, Shirley Timmons, and Ada Ulrich; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Junior Elham and Richard Cortimilia. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Gilbert Bone, and Charles “Chuck” Bone.
He was retired from the U. S. Navy after over thirty years of dedicated service, followed by retirement from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an outside machinist.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Albert Horton Veterans’ Cemetery, Suffolk.
