Thomas Dieterich Wright died suddenly June 14, 2015.

He was born October 1, 1958 to the late John Kenneth Wright and Jean Dieterich Wright in Baltimore, but moved to Frederick as a child and has resided here ever since.

He was a 1976 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School and a graduate of Maryland Drafting Institute. He was self-employed as a painter.

Tommy, or as most of his friends called him “Elmo,” was an avid golfer, and enjoyed many years at the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post #3285 in Frederick.

He is survived by his daughter, Carly Wright of Frederick, his mother Jean Dieterich Wright of Frederick, brother Kenneth Wright of Frederick, sister Susan Villarreal of Hagerstown, sister Jacqueline (& Steve) Reedy of Jefferson, MD and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his son Daniel McKenzie Wright.

A memorial gathering is planned on Monday, June 29 at 6pm at the VFW Post #3285 in Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
