
Vera Gay Paddison, 80, passed away September 4, 2012. She was born September 1, 1932 to the late Jess and Eva Davis. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years Richard M. Paddison, Sr. and her sister Diane Wirshup. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the New Orleans and Virginia Symphony Chorus, playing the piano as well as spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son; Stephen Paddison and his wife, Shelli of Virginia Beach; daughter, Diane Moore and her husband Jonathan from Phoenix; step-sons, Richard Paddison, Jr. and David Paddison both of New Orleans; step-daughters, Jeannie Tidy and her husband, Craig, Eileen Swords and her husband, Daniel of New Orleans, Wendy Poyhonen and her husband, John of San Diego and Patricia Paddison of Seattle; her beloved grandchildren, Patrick Paddison, Heather Delapouyade, David (Hunt) Paddison, Margery Paddison, Brian Paddison, Ethan Paddsion, Katherine Swords, Alex Poyhonen, Phillip Poyhonen, Ursula Paddsion, Parker Murden and Hunter Paddsion.
A service will be held Saturday at 10 at Family Choice Funerals and Cremations, 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 to 10 on Saturday.
