W. Scott Mansfield Chesapeake, 54, passed away April 16, in his home after a lengthy illness (NeuroMyelitis Optica).

Scott was born in Virginia Beach to the late William E. Mansfield and Joyce Colbert Mansfield Clarke.

He is survived by his beloved mother Joyce; sister Cheryl LaHay (Jef); sister and caregiver Billie Miley (Steve); nieces Blair Daniels (Zachary), Jessica Miley (Alejandro Brubaker), and nephew Doug Miley (Natasha Teasley); and great nieces, Riley, Adriana, Tenley and great nephew Mateo.

The children gave Scott so much joy in his last few years. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, extended family, and life-long friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The Gathering at Scott Memorial UMC, 409 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach, VA, 23454.

A celebration of his life will follow at 2012 Wolfsnare Road, Virginia Beach.
